Another calendar page flips over and the outdoors beckon" full speed ahead! Outside our inn more and more cyclists are seen rolling past our wrap-around porch, many stop in to purchase energy snacks or cool beverages from our cooler.

We begin this month with our newly-proclaimed TripAdvisor "Certificate of Excellence". Awarded to international lodging properties which have met certain exceptional criteria based on the number and rankings of real guest reviews, we are now classified with some very prestigious, world-class hotels. Hearthstone Inn & Suites even begins with an "H"....so we fit right in with the "big boys"! The old "stars" hotel rankings of last century are becoming less meaningful nowadays with the impact of the internet where "real" people post the quality of experience. If you have not yet stayed with us, give us a try. We are not a "B&B", so you won't have to sleep in someone's house. Neither are we an impersonal "bed-for-your-head" neon and stucco lodging franchise . Area seasonal events have begun to increase in number, the largest of which locally is the YELLOW SPRINGS STREET FAIR!

Vendors galore including art, jewelry, clothing, leather, fragrances, a festival of foods and beverages from various cultures and cuisines, entertaining street performances (both official and "unofficial"!), and an eclectic assortment of people from assorted walks of life...all gathered to celebrate...PEOPLE!

BIKE TRAILS are very much underway now with myriad cyclists, couples, and families enjoying our Little Miami/Ohio-to-Erie Trail. Our adjacent trail is the longest one of it's type in the U.S., fully paved and mostly off-road. You can hop on your bike here at Hearthstone, walk 10 feet to the adjacent trail, head north towards Columbus 25 miles or south to Cincinnati about 65 miles. Yellow Springs is a 20-mile trek.
